A storied structure on a rural homestead is renewed into a space for celebration and retreat.  The original log walls and timber framing of this century-old horse barn are preserved in its renovation into an event space and accessory dwelling unit.

A dark and compartmentalized ground floor is converted into a long hall for social gathering.  A folding corten backdrop screens a staging/prep area and bathroom while large portal windows frame a loggia overlooking the surrounding Ponderosa pines.  Overhead, a loft historically used to store hay is transformed into a loft for hosting occasional visitors.
